Also I'd like to see AWD from the factory before TT but that is just me.

N/A's are slowly fading into the darkness. We are currently in the phase of manuals fading away with these insane Auto Transmissions like the Dual Clutch. Ferrari and Lamborghini have dropped the manuals for current and future cars and also Porsche PDK system is decreasing manual sales. Now manufacturers are turning to the Turbo for the MPG's and also to cheat out horsepower out of small engine. Times are changing, it used to be all about who had the big motors 3,4,5,6 liter 6,8,10,12 cyl engines but now it's all about the 2.0T and 3.0T 4-Cyl. I'm a N/A guy

Nissan may just keep the 370z name if they change the displacement. Mercedes has been going to smaller displacement engines with turbos and just left the lettering the same as before. From a marketing perspective, i doubt they will lower the number on the Z. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they did away with lettering all together and it was just called Z.
It also states the "t" has stood for "touring" in the past so i doubt there is a 3.0 turbo planned, but who knows!

I really, really want this to be true. The day we get another factory Turbo'ed Z, I'll be there to buy it.

Yeah I think they would just call it the Z, which they pretty much do now. If you look on their website, they don't call it a 370Z. It's called the Z Coupe and Z Roadster.

35h Hybrid for fuel economy.
22d Diesel for fuel economy. 30t Turbo for __________. I don't think they are going to go for power, with this turbo, I think they are going to be using the same though process that Hyundai did with the 2.0 turbo Genesis. Light weight with decent performance and good fuel economy, regardless what the marking department tells the public. |

I wouldnt rush to buy one the first year. Frankly, there are always bugs in the first year runs (CSC failures, steering lock, etc). Also, depends on the quality of turbos they put on. I would not buy it with journal bearing turbos that are tiny and cannot handle upgrades well. Would rather save and put the proper stuff on the 370Z.
Now, if they put some ball bearing turbos of a decent size on with room for more boost, count me in.

If that happens in the future my Z will be paid and I might go for it. However, get in another car payment is another story...
