Default Anyone seen this! Japan's 370z Nismo

Sorry if repost. I wish the U.S. had the Nismo with the Touring and Nav packages instead of the mainly plain cloth interior. Reason I choose my car over the Nismo was for just the luxury features, although I wish I was able to get the Nismo goodies with that. Japan's 370z gets just that, I know myself ad many others on here would be more inclined on a Nismo with this interior. Let me know what you think.

I've always wondered the same thing. It didn't make sense to me why the Nismo's can't come with leather or Nav, its not like the car is ONLY going to be used as a track car. Even the GT3-RS has a nav option, and that car is a straight up track car. I've actually contacted Nissan about that kind of stuff before. It's pretty annoying how my brothers 09 GTR doesn't have automatic headlights, but the 06 altimas had them lol, and so do our 370z's. They say its for weight reduction and whatever else excuse they have, but in reality anyone that's THAT concerned with weight reduction and shedding a few milliseconds off their track times will be more likely to strip the car anyways.

Exactly my point. Most track versions of any car nowadays has luxury features regardless of the manufacturer. The Nismo is actually heavier than a Touring Z and is known to be slower in straights than the regular Z. I don't understand why other markets dont get the Nismo like Japan's fully loaded Nismo. I honestly think they would sell more than they do right now.

I can imagine the Nismo being even more expensive if they did offer leather and navigation...

What are those thin extensions over the wheel arches?

Sport versions of the "regular" Z should come with the Nismo front bumper! Would have saved me a ton of time.

I don't think the nismo should have NAV or power seats. But manual seats with leather and a better radio should definately be an option.
I believe weight reduction is important and nissan doesn't do a good job of it with the Nismo. My subjective opinion aside...

Remember in japan, they have more options in keeping cars light because they are not regulated to using the same amount of safety equipment in a car. And in the US, we Must build steel reinforced chassis's. In japan, they can use pure aluminum, steel reinforcements not necessary which saves weight. Thus making them have to find other ways to keep cars lighter in the US. I'm sure in japan, the NISMO is way more srtripped in its internals than the US version. J-spec can most likely keep features because of reduced weight in safety and structural areas... that's my best educated guess
