Default Nismo version: how is it setup?

I apologize in advance if this has already been covered, but, I searched and couldn't find anything.

I was just wondering what all is done with the Nismo version to produce an extra 18HP and 6TQ? Just intake and exhaust?

The extra power comes from a different exhaust and tune.

Thank you. I figured it would be something simple. Man, that's a lot of extra $$$ for a simple mod. I think it has a better suspension also. Oh well!

Well the Nismo comes with more than just the extra HP over the standard coupe.
You get better body bracing, different suspension, completely revised aero and some Nismo accents in the interior.

I thought the NISMO had no additional bracing or chasis work done?

I believe it has a couple extra braces in the front, they did not spot weld it like they did with the 350z Nismo (I would have bought a Nismo if they had).

Differences that I can think of now are:

Body kit
Wheels
Bracing (front and rear body dampers, reinforced strut bar)
Nismo shocks and springs
Thicker sways (not sure on this one)
Dual exhaust with H-Pipe config
ECU tune
Interior

I believe there are also performance dampers front and rear.
Or, is that what you mean when you refer to the body dampers?
At least that is what it states in the manual for the NISMO model. If so, I'm wondering if those would be of benefit to us that have the sport models. I would think so. It looks like they are just there to dampen side play for the front and rear suspension. Or, are they body dampers? Not sure about that one. Looks like ones I've use on suspensions before. Wish they showed the connection points. Oh snap, I'll have to find a NISMO and crawl under it now. I might want those parts.
Interesting find I think. Page 5-30 of manual:

Look at my post above yours.....

"Mass dampers are then fitted between the unibody's left and right frame members to control the extra vibration inherent in a seam-welded chassis."

From what ive read about the nismo before I bought mine, was that its 140% stiffer than the standard 370... I'll try to find the article i read it and post back. I thought there were more things besides just the dampers...

Probably the extra welding, the added support in the corner up front and some added braces on the tower brace ... but, all those things are not a easy add. Perhaps us guys with the Sports Model can get a little added stiffness to the chassis buy just adding the dampers. At least, I'm hopefully that it might be a good mod.

OK, were talking the same thing. I'm wondering if it's an easy add?

Also, the RAYS wheels are specific to the Nismo.
