The NISMO comes with most of the S-Tune stuff that you can get from the dealer already installed. As someone stated earlier, the aero is revised and has the body dampers as well. I figured I would be better off getting it done from the factory than buying aero and having it installed painted, etc...............

Oh yeah.........flying with eagles as well!

Edit: Let's not do the Z trim level thing again...............we already got a thread AJAX'd.

This is from R&T-

"Underneath its showy aero bits, the 2009 Nismo 370Z is no less hard-core than the 350Z Nismo. Autech still takes the standard Z-car chassis off the assembly line and welds the seams of the unit body by hand — a labor-intensive process that increases structural rigidity beyond that of a normal, spot-welded unibody. Mass dampers are then fitted between the unibody's left and right frame members to control the extra vibration inherent in a seam-welded chassis."

I've read on this forum that the Nismo version doesn't get the extra welds on the chassis... So does it or doesn't it?

I believe there are also performance dampers front and rear.
Or, is that what you mean when you refer to the body dampers?
At least that is what it states in the manual for the NISMO model. If so, I'm wondering if those would be of benefit to us that have the sport models. I would think so. It looks like they are just there to dampen side play for the front and rear suspension. Or, are they body dampers? Not sure about that one. Looks like ones I've use on suspensions before. Wish they showed the connection points. Oh snap, I'll have to find a NISMO and crawl under it now. I might want those parts.
Interesting find I think. Page 5-30 of manual:

From what ive read about the nismo before I bought mine, was that its 140% stiffer than the standard 370... I'll try to find the article i read it and post back. I thought there were more things besides just the dampers...

Underneath its showy aero bits, the 2009 Nismo 370Z is a pretty hard-core machine. It's not seam-welded like the 350Z Nismo, but its chassis has been stiffened to the point that mass dampers have been fitted to control vibration.

OK, were talking the same thing. I'm wondering if it's an easy add?

Here's the article if anyone cares lol:

"The Nismo's suspension is tuned for a firmer ride and sharper handling. Compared to a standard 370Z Coupe, front spring rates have been dialed up 15 percent, rear spring rates 10 percent, front stabilizer bar rate upped 15 percent, and the rear stabilizer bar is 50 percent stiffer. The roll stiffness rate has been increased by 15 percent and front and rear damping factors have been increased by 40 percent and 140 percent, respectively."

Probably the extra welding, the added support in the corner up front and some added braces on the tower brace ... but, all those things are not a easy add. Perhaps us guys with the Sports Model can get a little added stiffness to the chassis buy just adding the dampers. At least, I'm hopefully that it might be a good mod.

A lot more to consider ... That's why the NISMO is worth it's extra money though.

According to Inside Line, the Nismo is a lesser performer.

IL Track Tested: 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z vs. 2009 Nissan 370Z Touring

It's looks vs winning.

Yea, and ive seen numerous articles saying it has better times... Those vary...

Sounds like this article used a car not broken in, which is common to do...
