Default I miss my car :(

Been almost 3 weeks without my car now since the accident and they're saying up to a month still Im driving a shitty Cobalt LS I hate it. ugh makes me appreciate my car so much more though.

Which brings me to a question, the other day someone asked me why I didnt buy an STI for the money I paid for my 370z, and I know why, but it was hard to justify to him. I mean obviously looks is one huge aspect but performance wise I wasn't really sure how they stacked up, I know as far as 0-60 and qtr mile theyre not too different but on a track I really dont know.

How would you justify?

Nice ModShack ;P I hope its going back to the rental agent that way. It's amazing what a little Fluff Performance upgrades will do. I hear the chrome plated 6" drain pipe is good for another 268 HP....

Here's how you justify the Z over the STI.

- The STI is fun on the track, the Z is fun on the track and EVERYWHERE else.
- You can fit 325's on the Z.
- The Z has an infintely better interior.
- When you show up to a place with nice cars you dont have to say "no no, its the fast version."
- The Z doesn't look like a Mazda 3.
- The Z's gearing doesn't completely suck for the highway
- The STI with a big turbo struggles to hold itself together at 400whp and suffers lag. The Z lives happily turboed at 400whp and has no lag.
- The Z doesn't understeer everywhere.
- You can put nice wheels on the Z with nice offsets.

Went for a ride in the new STi as an auto-cross instructor, it had good power once you waited for the turbo lag to go away but by then it was too late to use it. It understeered like a pig. The Z was 1st in class and 6th overall out of 80 cars.

Socal, the repair shop say they cant give me a definitive date for when it'll be done. They know it will be 2 weeks for the actual labour. But thats when they actually get the parts in, and because its so new, who knows how long that will be.
