As far as I know, the Stillen g3 cai's have the highest hp gain at 17.5hp. They also give the car a little bit more of a growl at WOT. I have a set, and installation was pretty easy. I love them.
Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new fangled science stuff.

I would, too, but the consensus is that it's within a few horses. For $200, that's pretty good. It also looks stock, which to me is a plus, and doesn't involve cutting anything. Put all that together, and 3-5bhp really doesn't matter to me. I just like having better hoses and filters under my hood, really. Not so worried about making more power, per se.

Along with post mafs. It might only net at best 13hp to use this combination. But low end power loss is so minimal the car steel feels stock and the silicone truly keeps air cold which makes you feel some good boost at higher RPM's. CAI's recive more of the engines heat than post MAFS. Last edited by UNKNOWN_370; 03-14-2012 at 01:31 PM. |

I'd looked at all the options and was pretty convinced I wanted to go with the Gen 3s. Found a few threads on the post MAFs from Z1 and a drop in (I went with K & N) and decided to go that route. $300-$400 less than a full intake, easier to install / clean and at least part of the gains. And pretty blue tubes, too.
In fact, FedEx just dropped off my filters a few minutes ago so I'm going to do the install tonight. |

the sad part about the drop-ins is that start to finish it only takes about 2min and no tools needed. not enough fun 'modding.'
yah, i run post-MAF tubes too (HPS)... black. |
