I've been seeing that many people start their 370z holding the push start button down. Why is that? I have always just press the button and let go of it.

Press and Hold or Press and Let Go?
I've been seeing that many people start their 370z holding the push start button down. Why is that? I have always just press the button and let go of it. My car still starts perfectly fine. Enlighten me.

I would just press the button my Z. On the 5.0 I just have to flick the key, no need to hold. Same with the CLK500. The S2000 I actually have to hold the button down, though. SO CONFUSING.

Along the same lines...
Is the cranking over 'manufactured' to sound cool? I know that most of my recent cars have started up a heck of a lot quicker than the Z with just a turn of the key. Almost feels to me like they pull the spark or something the first few revolutions to get it to sound like that. Anyone know? |

couple times I've just pressed lightly, it wasn't enough, car didn't turn, so I seem to press and hold for one second
