"ICY" setting on the 370z 7at?
So I'm in my car resetting the rev limit from Redline to 7200rpm for automatic shifting. The way to do this is by going to "Alert" scroll to upshift and from there you set it. There are 2 more settings. Timer? Which if anyone knows what's that for I would like to know too... but after that. Its ICY? IS THAT A MODE FOR icy conditions on the 2011? Thanks in advance and rep for the answer. :)

"ICY" means if the temperture outside drop below 5'C,the warning will tell you to to slow down, because below that temperture,"Black ice" will form on the road.
|
^^^ Yea I think its just there to turn on or off. Just a word on the dash it does not change anything.

If the ICY warning is on, the display will pop a warning when the temp is lower than 37 (or whatever). It will override whatever display mode its in, just like if you were to open a door or like when the low fuel alert is triggered.
When it's off, you still get an ICY indicator on the temp display, but it won't pop the warning. |
i didn't know there was a way to set rev limit's on the AT transmission
as the MT trans. is that correct? |

I would have thought that it just lit up the RPM warning light as it does in the MT. |

the setting in the instrument cluster doesnt change when the trans will shift. It only changes when the little red "REV" light starts blinking. You can set it between 6500 and redline.

When I set mine I cycled through the rpm settings from 1000 to 7800rpm. So how did you get 6500 as a base setting? |

It only affects when the light starts blinking. And "ICY" is just an alert when it gets below a temperature that you can set. By default, it's set to a temp that's above freezing, so I don't get why it comes that way.

I just made a thread... 7at thread limiter. Check it out. Id like to make a correction right here. I redid the limiter. It goes from 1000-9000rpm. How cool is that? I know the Z would probably explode at 9krpm but I think we'd be good to about 8500rpm modified. Safely 8100rpm |
