Default Don't discount the Toyo or Nitto

Am driving 120 one way in a few days just to get to a dealer who sells Toyo's. Am updating the tires on my Tundra. If I had my choice I'd be looking at the Toyo's first. They are a premium tire manufacturer who doesn't advertise much because they don't need to. Also,Nitto is owned by Toyo. So don't how much difference there might be.
Hope this helps...

continentals are soft tires
the feedback i'm talking about is the Steering Response. a tire may have great traction but if the sidewall is soft, it doesn't inspire confidence to push the car cause you can't get a good feel of the tire's limits.
compare the dw to the v12's that i currently have on the rear wheels. due to the similar low steering response as the dw's, it's safe to say they feel similar in numbness. the re050a weak point is it's treadlife and wet traction. otherwise, it's noticeably the better tire cause i can feel the road through them. i can't tell what the hell is going on in the rear wheels, in comparison with the v12's.
just because a tire is whatever rating it is, doesn't mean it's suitable to everyone. given this is a sports car, we want a sporty feel, not a cushy ride on continentals. so sorting the max performance summer tires by Steering Response (Consumer Survey Results By Category), you'll see that the dw's are near the bottom along with the v12's. the michelin's on top are great but are pricey due to them selling to a crowd needing the best in every weather condition and category, and you may as well just get re11's or a similar extreme summer tire

Also check other sizes--you aren't stuck with the stock ones. The AD08s, RS3s, RE11s, and the rather costly PSCs get great recommendations.

I went with 265/35R19 fronts and 295/35R19 rears in Yokohoma AD08s. They're great--I have more grip, they give better feedback, and they have less of a tendency to understeer when braking.
