Default Your Opinion on Performance Mods

I have a new 2011 370Z with the sport package.

A local Nissan tuner suggests starting my mods with a Stllen cold-air intake and either Stillen or Borla exhaust. He says don't flash the ECU (yet) as it will void the warranty.

Your opinion, please, on the mods--and your preference on the exhaust.

Thanks.

Stillen G3s are a good cold air intake kit. As far as exhaust goes... do a search and listen to as many clips as you can. TONS of options.

I would broaden your search as far as exhausts go. Both the Stillen and Borla are nice exhausts, but there are so many out there to choose from. As far as the intake, if you don't mind removing the front fascia and cutting some stuff yes, the Stillen G3 is a great setup. Some other people use SRI and others are using tubes + drop-ins. An ECU tune isn't really necessary unless you're running lean (ussually G3's HFC/TP and catback exhaust combined). Anything can technically void your warranty if they can prove it caused a problem.

I personally have a berk exhaust and love it. I've heard many other exhausts as well that sound great. It's all personal preference based off of needs and wants.
