Yeah, be careful. I remember watching some car show when some old guy brought his new Viper to get worked on and had some dvd players or some crap installed and then when he left, he went to show off and peel out and ended up spinning out and in a ditch. Totally ruined the car lol

Looks really good, since sits a weekend car for you, I am leaning towards the Viper with a change of wheels
![]() If you actually would drive more during the week I'd say stick with the Z

I'm not really a fan of the Gen III vipers (convertible only)... Love the 96-02 GTS and the 06-10 Coupes. BUT.... a Viper is a Viper any way you put it, so I would say lose the Z and go V-10!

all the post make a ton of sense but there's no way to compare the two...
you can get 2 loaded 370's for the price of a viper... of course i'm talking new... the viper is a totally untamed beast i'm not putting them down but imho there only good for the track. as a dd a dump truck would be better.... but on a strip or track first class |

Go with a Viper, if you are going to get a viper (which i think you should) get the Gen 3 or Gen 4 engine.
As for the maintenance costs. On my SRT-10 Ram, it cost $150 for a oil change and $120 for spark plug change (thats just parts since i do my own work) Thats the only price quotes i can give you since those 2 things are pretty much the only thing that is the same on the car. If you talk to tony at JTSVP he can hook you up with parts if/when you get a Viper.

Have you sat in it? How tall are you? I'm 6'1" and can't find a good seating position in them. I'm either looking over top of the windshield (convertibles) or hunched over to look through the windshield, for that reason it would be a big no for me.
The interior is very low end, bad fit and finish, but if you're not worried about that, and if you want something that looks cool and goes like stink, I say go for it!
