This spring we shopped a used G37 among other fun coupes. Manual cars are not easy to come by: in that regard there were similar number of Z's also available in the 250 mile radius of the North East I was looking at. Plenty of slush boxs out there which I accounts for the numbers.

The G37 is a good car, and we would have been fine driving it. But it didn't stir our souls like the Z car does, nor the car we ended up getting in this case to replace a G35x auto daily driver (a base Cayman CPO: chose it over the G and 2.0 A5).

In my neck of the woods, the demographics are about the same. You see 20 something-40 somethings in both cars equally. No cliches need apply.

If you choose to go into a G? Get it during the clearance sale. You can get rebated up to $7k with the right dealer. Going to a dealer that has both nissan and infiniti to make the trade helps alot. They will be willing to give you higher value for your trade while discounting you the G. Nmac financing on a G will also guarantee you the lowest price possible. The more money that stays in-house, the more you save... I had a G37s. Awesome car. I had a Jic magic flt-2 aftermarket susp which made it performed pretty much like the Z for the most part. Only issue is you feel the weight And if you can get aftermarket wheels for wider tires... 9.5f x 10.5 or 11r would help alot... I traded for the simple reason i wanted less weight and length on my car and better cornering (going in). 2 of the G's weaknesses (which can be helped with coils)
I gave up all that tech and don't miss any of it except the now defunct self healing paint.
