My personal taste would be FI. But stillen, GT Haus, Motordyne, AAM, CNT all good quality exhausts. All put out excellent power gains and are built to last.

Berk is another... you have a good amount of choices for exhausts.

For that amount, I would choose to spend it all on either the performance mods or appearance.

Performance wise, a CBE exhaust alone would probably use up all the funds. Aside from going with long tubes, like the Gen 3's, there really isn't a point going with an aftermarket intake. Buy some drop-in's and be done with it. Also, maybe upgrade the rotors and pads.

Aesthetic, I would spend it on a nice lip kit or lowering springs. I could also probably spend half of that cash on detailing supplies alone.

I think the FI exhaust is a great performance AND aesthetic mod!

Buy 1.85 AAPL stock, wait 10 years when the share hits $1000, sell it and pocket $925 in profit then ask us on the420z.com what mod to spend your ~2 grand for your 420z.

Your exhaust sounds less raspy and loud them others I've heard on YouTube. Can you describe the sound under moderate and full throttle? Does it have a drone while cruising at highway speeds? Like you, I have a new car and want a better sounding exhaust but I DO NOT WANT something that is loud and would become obnoxious on long drives.

You realize that your tax refund isn't "extra" money, but money you overpaid in taxes during the year. I'm no financial adviser, and I'm not gonna tell you that you could have been making interest off of that money the past year, but I do know that it was always your money that you earned to begin with.

That said, buy an exhaust. Or fund a trip to Z Days with lots of beer and strippers at the hotel for fellow forum members.
