18' wheels to 19' wheels
I've thought about going from the stock 18' wheels to 19' Avant Garde M368's. Has anyone had any issues with this and would going from 18' to 19' wheels mess up my mileage odometer? All feedback is appreciated, Thanks

When you get bigger wheels you usually get thinner tires, so the overall circumference of the tire stays the same, same rotational ratio, blah blah blah. If you get a much bigger tire then yeah it can throw off your tachometer. Like alcheng said, shop techs can fix it for you.

Do a serach for tire calculator size, it will give you the sizes comparables with your current ones. However the Sport Pkg size on the Z is 19".

19" is perfectly fine, your tach will be unchanged (engine RPM stays the same). Your Speedo will be off. I believe the bigger the tire the lower it reads smaller higher. Bigger circumference leads to less revolutions of the tire and a lower speed reading. Its usually a minor change ~2mph you can calculate it or find an online tool, its simple math.

yah, 19's are fine. the 368's only come in 8.5" and 9.5" no? will still work for our stock tire sizes, but just wondering.
i think the offsets were like 35/40 or something so you'll need spacers for the rear for sure. anyone know if there are sufficient cavities between the lug bores on the disc to support bolt-on spacers? i was looking at getting them for my G (dd) for snow setup. |

op-i checked out avantguard's site and the 19x8.5 spokes protrude past the lip for caliper clearance. that means if you take your car to an auto wash the rails could scratch your spokes.
just thought i put that out there since now i dont think i want to use these as my winter set as i may need to take my G to the manned autowash in the winter. this winter was very mild so i was able to wash my car at home, but usually it's 3months of sub freezing temps. |

You are aware the 370Z comes in 18's and 19's right? It's a matter of the tires that make it work well with keeping it in check with the Spedometer. It's called plus sizing. 245-40-19 and 275-35-19 or 285-35-19's will do the trick as these are what the Sport package and Nismo Z's use.
