New 370z questions and help
So I got my z on Friday and it had 140 miles on it yesterday. I dumped the clutch twice at about 2-3 k rpm like an idiot. I haven't really gunned it but I'm worried about doing such childish things without letting the engine or clutch break in. Do you think anything might go wrong or is their nothing to worry about thanks. And yes I'm really worried I want to baby it!

No offense, welcome to the forum. But, seriously, I wouldn't suggest you do it, I don't know is there any damage, and I wonder anyone would know practically since no one would do that. :driving: |
i just wanna know i got a little wheel spin and everything felt fine, it wasnt too bad i just wanna know if its ok thanks! and no i wont be doing it for at least another 1000k miles

Expect the replace the clutch prematurely. Breaking in the engine otherwise is based on opinion. Some think you should drive it like you stole it, others baby it.
If group 1 is correct, you won't have any problems. If group 2 is correct, expect your engine to burn oil |
I'm following the owners manual and keeping it under 4K RPM for the first 1200 miles. I'm going with the assumption the engineers at Nissan know what they are doing. I only have 300 miles on the car and the short shifting is a drag. I can't wait to let her rev. I've never even heard the exhaust angry!

Don't do it again. In the grand scheme of things you probably took some miles off the clutch but if you baby it from now on you should be ok.
