New 370z questions and help

I would say that you didn't do any harm to your car motor or your clutch, but if you continue to do that start saving up for a new clutch etc. I know were LaCanada is, I have riden the Crest many times on my sport bikes.

Some of the best corners in southern California. You would have fun up there in your Z after it is broken in.

Thanks for the help! I dont plan on doing any more of that till it breaks in. I plan on driving it more properly. I definitely will hit the crest after a few thousand miles.

It means drop-clutch. Which is not suggested for stick-shift.

By droping the clutch you mean just revving it and letting the clutch go completely?

Seems to me like that would tear up a lot more then just the clutch that puts some extreme stresses on all the parts in teh drive train

Question from someone who hasnt tracked the car, but if your doing a quarter mile, dont you drop the clutch to get going?? Like at 4,500 rpm? or if you wanted to drag or do a 0 - 60 time...? I wouldnt think dropping the clutch even a bunch of times would do anything... Grinding the clutch may be a different story...
