Very sorry to see this. You may have some leverage here with the company owning the truck. No MERCY!

looks like the rear quarter got a little dinged also. The insurance company should compensate you the cost of an OEM bumper so you can put that toward buying a new amuse bumper. I know its not genuine but UAM makes a good replica which would cost less giving you a quality replacement without busting your wallet.

EDIT:: Actually.. Since the garbage truck hit you, I'd see about forwarding Amuse Repair estimates to the garbage trucks company to see about correct compensation... It's worth a shot...
Amen to this! My father in laws truck got clipped by the town garbage truck and they paid him way mor then the parts on his truck were worth. I would call the city and give them the police report and estimates and get them to pay for your parts. When you get an estimate I would just show them your sales receipts for the Amuse kit....

Good luck!!

Dude... I'm so sorry.. Just think it could have been the the whole side or worse.

Hopefully insurance will pick it up entire cost & not just OEM replacement.

Am I the only one who would expect the WM company to pay for this?

They are responsible to pay for the damages, you can put a claim in with their company rather than putting one through your own. if you have a competent insurance agent I recommend you contact them and tell them you want to put the claim in with their company and not yours.

ALSO: I hope you got a police report documenting the accident

Yeah, if that is fiberglass, that shouldn't be that hard to repair (looks like only one major rip/crack). I was just fiberglassing the 3 pieces of my racecar this weekend. No hard at all, just takes time to clean it up afterward.

I'm sure it could be repaired... If it wasn't his fault I would make sure a new part is purchased and put in place.
