Congrats, I know its sucks waiting. I had to wait 10days for my Z. When you finally get it, enjoy and BE SAFE! The handling is different from FWD. Make sure you take babysteps when having fun with it. :)

speedfreek 03-03-2012 08:58 AM

I like how he says "pop the hood for you" and he is at the rear of the vehicle..lmao!! Congrats on the purchase. I love that color.

Thanks!

Yeah my first car was an old school crown Victoria v8 rwd. I managed to never wrap it around a pole and had fun making the back end slide around many atime while taking corners.

That was when I was 16 lol, now i am 25 and a lot more mature driver. I think if I could handle that old beast at 16 I should be ok in the Z!

HAd my brother go test drive it today. He said it was sick but noticed a minor scratch in the paint. Brand new car, with a paint scratch lol. Needless to say that means I am going to be renegotiating on price or they better fix it before I arrive.

She sure is pretty though

Better they fix it before you sign paperwork. That way the fix won't go on a car fax.

Good point. Yea its kind of a deal breaker i'm sure they will react appropriately though because i will walk with out hesitation of they don't. Not buying a brand new car with paint scratches

Yep. I'm not going to mod the drive train much at all. MAYBE exhaust, maybe. What I am going to do though is build and install a car computer and take out the stock stereo.

Yes, ARK and F.I. both makes really nice system for the Z, many members in here have them installed and the exhaust note is just niceee....

What do you mean by a computer?? You mean the ECU Mod??

That OEM HU is ok, is that the BOSE system?? Plug your MP3 into the AUX-In, it sounds MUCH better than CD.

BTW, will you consider the Ventureshields?? I think it's a good investment for the paint, I have mine done. :tiphat:

By carputer I mean a little minature PC that drives a doubledin touch screen in my dash. You can use it to do anything you want. Nav/car diagnostics/multimedia/ rearview camera/ hands free calling etc.

Arr... a double din HU, I think Pioneer make those with the diagnostics, but many of those reviews are saying the diagnostics is very slow when communication with the ECU.

If the diagnostic feature is not a must, I'll suggest Kenwood does make pretty good double din HU, and they just have the 2012 models came out.

Replace the OEM BOSE with something like those is a nice upgrade!
