That was a fast year....

Turning in my 370Z lease today:( I really enjoyed it. I couldn't spend $40K on one but for the price I was paying it was great! For you new buyers, drive it like you stole it! It gets stronger as time goes by. Maybe I'll see you guys on here next year.....

Sorry to hear :( What are you thinking of getting into for the next lease?

kenchan 03-02-2012 11:50 AM

:icon08:you leased a car for one year?

Z_Girl 03-02-2012 11:56 AM

Wow...I don't even want to imagine having to give up my Z, I'd beg borrow and steal to keep her!

Good luck with the next car, hopefully we'll see you back soon.

I work at the Smryna tn. plant and we had a discounted lease program for a year...it was a good deal so I got one...Good cars even though they are noisy as hell:)

And this is the truest statement anyone has made on Nissan engineering. The only other car I have found this to be true is BMW. A the VQ at 30k miles will accelerate faster and feel torquier. The engine gets smoother and everything syncs in well. The best time to drive a VQ is between 30k-150k miles. I call this nissans priime when it comes to their engines
I been in some bimmers that pull like brand new or better at over 100k as well. Great motors.

I will never, EVER lease a car!

LMBmikeZ 03-02-2012 09:11 PM

:iagree:

How ever I understand people who do because it is for their work/work leases it for them.

My dad is in this situation so he is always changing cars. Which is nice so I can see different cars all the time. Every 2-3 years

Wow, what an interesting post. I've experienced this with two BMWs I've owned in the past and I couldn't explain it. Great observation. It's the same with the VQ in your experience? :excited:

Leasing a car have pros and cons, same as financing.

At least you have an option to keep the car or not when you lease it.

This is in case if your car has lots of reliability issues, you will end up stuck with it and paying alot for repairing after the warranty is expired. It happened to me when I was driving the BMW, try to sell it and the resale value wasn't that high... :icon14:

If your car does very well and you can end up buy it after the lease is up.

Yes, you might end up paying the most, but since the interest rate and the amount of the buy-back is quite reasonable, I think it is feasible to lease a car and have an option to own it or choose another car at the end of the term.

cheers
