Default plasti dip is amazing

I was very skeptical at first but after watching several videos I figured I would give it a shot.

It was so easy and the result was better than I expected. I did the emblems first. After that went so well I decided to try the door handles which also look flawless.

I'm debating on doing the rims or getting them powdercoated. I might give it a shot with the plasti dip as it can't hurt!

Only time will tell how long it will hold up but as of now I'm very impressed with the results for a few bucks and 2 hours of my time.

Sorry for the shitty pictures, it is raining out and dark. I'll get better ones tomorrow.

just taped them off. You just tape a square around them and I used newspaper to ensure no overspray. Just peel off the excess and it turns out perfect. It's crazy and can't believe how well it worked. I put on 5 coats.

Did you paint over your side turn signals?

yes, I plan to remove the rubber on the signal which will be easy. Just leave it on the z and the outer chrome.

yea man, you def should. It would look great with those rims.

I also wouldn't count out the door handles. It looks way better(imo) and it looks professional.

looks good, thinking of doing this, or getting them painted. Whats the color you used,? flat black? looks a lil grayish or is that because of the light?

Plastidip typically has a hint of grey in it...

yea, I used flat black. No grey, it was due to the flash.

It is just so damn easy and looks good as a matte black finish with paint/powdercoat. Again, the only thing I'm not sure about is durability.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Durability might be the issue. You should post back on this thread in a month or two and update how well it withstands.

will do, I'm gonna try my wheels out in the next few weeks. I'll let you guys know how it goes, worst case scenario I'll just peel it off and get them powdercoated. It is worth the 12 bucks to give it a shot.

I've heard of people doing it and it lasting years with no issues.

I paid $200 total to have my wheels powder coated. I know someone that plasti dipped their front grill, and its been holding up pretty well
