It took a set of Channel locks to persuade it to move but its off and replaced.

I have a 370Z with a S7. Had I bought a 370Z with a manual shift, one of the first things I would have bought would have been a short shifter and modified the clutch linkage for better take up as I did in my 350Z. Night and Day difference imo. |

Yes IMO it does. With the stock shifter I would sometimes slip into 2nd coming from 4th, instead of 3rd. But due to the precise gate of the B&M setup I don't see that happening anymore. There are those who may not like the effort that is needed to shift the B&M, but I've had short shifters on all of my manual cars (4, 6 & 8 cylinders) for the last 15 years so I'm just used to the extra effort needed. I sit high as a tall person in my Z with long arms, so leverage using the shorter stick is not an issue for me either. I also replaced the OEM knob with a new one, since the old one was so difficult to remove.
