Default vdc off and slippery light is always on, HELP

Hi
I just got my PPE LTH and HKS exhaust installed and when i step on it the vdc off light goes on and te slippery light as well. I have no idea what happened and don't know what to do. Since I have minimum knowledge about cars i thought it might be a fuse problem or something. Another thing, the steering wheel is tilted to the left for he car to go straight. I've read that I can repaid this my self but I'm kinda lost

can anyone help me with this? is it a big thing? I'm afraid if i took it to the dealership they will rip me off.

Thanks in advance.

The VDC off light shouldn't flash tho'. Could be a bad sensor.

Where did the OP say it was flashing?

The shop probably took of the steering coupler to install the headers. They missed the original spline when they put the coupler back on. When the car detects the steering wheel is not straight when going in a straight line, it will turn on the VDC and Slip lights.

Two ways to fix this:

Reconnect the steering coupler to the correct spline.
Get an alignment.

I would recommend going with repositioning the coupler.

Had this issue on my Cube after installing coilovers. Toe was WAYYY off, steering wheel 12'oclock was like at 3'oclock position. You definitely need an alignment.

Maybe one of your wheel speed sensors is bad?

The steering column has to be removed to get the headers in, sounds like whoever installed it didn't line it up properly when they put it back. Don't get a whole new suspension alignment, just align the steering column. They shop that did install should fix this. This sounds like an unrelated issue from the slip light thing.

DO NOT GET AN ALIGNMENT!

An alignment is a band-aid. There is no reason for your alignment to be off after an exhaust install. take your car back to whoever installed the exhaust and ask them to reposition the steering yoke. That will fix all of your problems.

Hey guys I'm having the same problem after I put on my headers but i made it straight and the lights still come on?? Do you need it to be on the exact spline?

If you have not disconnected the battery try doing that and letting it sit overnight if possible then reconnect. sometimes if they did not disconnect the battery during their install odd things happen. I would try this first. Also for the OP like everyone else has said ensure the spline is redone and this will fix your steering wheel problem. your alignment is not in issue as long as it was good before you had the work done.

I figured it out.. once the the steering wheel is straight with the wheels and if the lights are still on un-spline the steering shaft, and from center you can spin the steering wheel 3 times to left of right and that is center. It'll hit like a sensor or something?
