Default car cover questions

I was thinking to buying a car cover. Anyone here have any experiences in them? I have to park the car outside. I want to cover my car every night. I just worry about getting scratches on the paint by taking it off and on every night.

Default Car cover

Any quailty cover won;t scratch. I use cheaper Budge every day. The material is very soft. Just dont leave it on in the rain as they are not waterproof just resistant. But do more research on that first, My z is garaged with the cover.

I've heard that you are supposed to have the car very clean before covering it, since trapped dust and particles could cause swirls if the cover is disturbed (either taking on or off, or from the wind). I'll probably have to leave my car outside next year for parking, too. Is that not very significant? I could probably live with some minor swirling, if it isn't any worse than it'd be without a cover.

I shudder at the thought of putting a car cover on a dirty car.
Doesn't matter how soft the material is...it's gonna scratch if your ride is dirty.

Default I agree

You wash it before you cover it. My car is washed or if just minor dust I use Meqguires Ultimate Detailer before the cover
