I do take more time backing up but I've gotten used to being more careful...as for changing lanes... I try to always change lanes just after passing someone, takes the guess work out of it.

I remember the first time getting in and looking back going "WTF" because i had read about the poor rear visibility and and was like..they weren't kidding lol.
Mirror adjustments help a lot...I have had a few here or there where I could have sworn no one was in my blindspot but someone was...I agree with someone above...just speed up then pass lol

My last 3 vehicles have been pickups (specifically Toyota Tacomas) which allow for a great amount of visibility. For me going to a Z I felt that the blind spots were terrible and even accidentally cut off a few cars the first couple of months driving. After a couple of years and proper rear view mirror setup I am pretty comfortable now even with the NISMO wing. I think I just needed to get used to it.

Yeah I noticed the blind sport issue when I took one for a test drive. Too much focus on design vs. function. It's the same deal with the brakes as well unfortunately. Maybe you can get a blind sport warning device installed. For the brakes, some sort of cooling ducts would be good al though I'm not sure the after market has anything.

Gas solves any blind spot
Also I just stay in the left lane >< On a serious note, it's not such an issue on driver side as you can look back if you lean foward, the passenger side is the real issue though. I take long hard looks before I move over. Most of the time I'll pass a car and look back and make sure I see that car I passed before making the merge. |
