Ahh Nismo is around 4.4 and Mustang Boss is around 4. So .4 second difference in 0-60, I was wrong. At least I added a question mark because I didn't know :P But I don't think .4 seconds is enough to make fun of me ><

EDIT:
In fact looking at standard 2010 models of the 370Z(base) and the Mustang (base) the 0-60 IS faster on the Z, see I knew I read about it somewhere. Likely you will come back and find some flaw in my reading I overlooked and make fun of me >< please be gentle if I am indeed mistaken.
0-120 and 30-150 times are more indicative of performance feel. 0-100 is far better than 0-60, as well. However, 5-60 is probably the best comparison tool regarding how you will feel regarding acceleration. Most people done want to replace their clutch every 5k miles, so a hard slip from 4k rpm is not a very useful comparison in the real world on the street.

Ah yeah, the 2010s Z is definitely quicker than the 2010 Mustang. That was the last year of the 4.6L V8. The 5.0s (2011+) are no contest, though, assuming equally skilled drivers.

lol, I'm not making fun of you. The Mustang and Z have been compared a lot on here, and everything 2011 and newer, the Mustang GT is faster.

And in 0-60 terms, a lot of rag racers will tell you .4 seconds is huge. But more accurately, I agree with m4a1. The stang would be faster 0-60 under equal conditions and with equal drivers.

But paper statistics matter very little. Both are great cars. Enjoy the Z.

Mustang boss is 4.3 0-60 on a good day stock. 0-60 is little matter though unless you are a pro driver at the track. Most people can't drive so no matter how much power you have it won't help street or track.

Mustang can't out handle the Z and it is heavier stock for stock. To give and example the Roush stage3 2012 and the Boss 2012 were tested by the stig around the track and the Boss won with 50 less HP.

The Mustang doesn't out handle but it matches the Z through the corners in terms of time. Feel is obviously different.

If it didn't handle at least as good as the Z I never would have bought mine.

The stats in the rags say the Z handles better, but only very, very slightly. Once again, the driver most likely makes the difference, and the Mustang's acceleration blows the Z away on straightaways.

Again, pro drivers, 10/10ths stuff. In all practical use and amongst enthusiasts like us, the Mustang handles just as well and the Z accelerates fast enough.

Specific handling tests are one thing, but actually putting it all together (i.e. lap times) are what matters the most. Straights removed the 5.0 and Z are neck and neck.

Both are awesome cars... the Mustang just has a hard time trying to prove that it can actually handle because NO ONE believes it. Even when presented with hard evidence.

Oh well, it works for me. I love taking non-believer friends for rides. Going into a corner hot they think we're going to die.

I've ridden in your Mustang, and I've driven behind it on the Dragon.

Anyone who says it can't handle is full of crap.

If it's quantifiably worse than the Z in the corners, I've not got the butt sensors to recognize it.

And I've got the switch to temporarily turn off the laws of physics.

Haha why did this turn into a mustang vs 350z thread? oh wait i asked about the stang.

Yea the mustang is faster, the 370z handles a bit better though. I chose the Z though because I like the interior a lot more and its exterior styling looks far better too (my opinion). I am not a race car drvier or a tracker. I just wanted to get a quick car that I will ahve fun driving and I think i have done that!

I was gonna suggest we not hijack this thread, but the OP did ask about the two cars and how they stack up to each other... So it's not really a hijack...
