One was a 2011 and he only dropped 3800 off the msrp. I would have thought they could have done better. What's people pAying for their Z's compared to the msrp??
Yeap... no matter which stereo you choose for the Z. Its a real POS. Lol. Base+sport is a must for audiophiles.

Ya, I can't even deny it anymore, the Bose leaves something to be desired

At first I was very happy with it as my past cars did not have systems worth writing home about (except I did have boston Acoustic components up front in the Lancer)

So I was very happy with my Bose with stock sub etc, but lately I've wanted more sound...Love the Nav/Integrated features system though, so I guess its the trade off

Bose isn't bad for a regular person. The rear subs are a total waste, though.

What does matter is the final price, right??

They're giving you 2k over on your trade because your car is very rare... they can still budge on the price of the Z. But if you have been making your frustration as obvious to them as much as you show us??? They won't budge on the price. But if they think you have decided on something else... they may strive to give you at least $750-1000 off msrp.
If not? At least get your accessories and oil changes free... point is, you can still get more.

With new App radio Technology. The Nissan NAV is obsolete. Everything is app based now and car audio is hitting new heights. The Z nav package will prevent you from experiencing what new technologies are bringing right now.

DLS, BA, Rainbow, Focal, and jl make great speakers for cars and you can integrate them into the nav bose, but subs etc, labor will be so expensive. The system is literally grounded into the touring and nav models.

Yeah i've heard the stereo is nothing exciting. I'm not getting the car for the stereo though. If anyone does buy a car for the stereo I question their priorities. With that said, I plan on putting a solid aftermarket stereo in it that will sound far and away better then any factory stereo

I found the BOSE system is pretty bad on player CD/MP3, but when I play music from the MP3 player or my phone through the AUX-IN, it actually plays pretty good and clear sounds.

Well.. I made the plunge, the dealer came back with a deal I couldn't resist.

Moved another 600 off the MSRP and gave me another 2500 for my trade in. Plus he's going to get me the lighted kick plates and the Nismo Floor mats. I feel like i got a good deal.

So now to the car heheh

Not going to worry about any mods yet. The stereo has to go first.
Any recommendations for a double din HU? I'm looking for GPS, Pandora Radio and a Backup Camera are the biggies. I dont care for sirius or XM. I use Iphones. Thought about a Ipad, but havent seen any mods that grab me. Not a huge Android fan.. So I'm thinking I'll probably just stick with a double din HU.

I see most people aren't putting in rear speakers. but they are putting in some subs. Any other place to put them other then taking out the spare tire? I'm looking to keep a stock look. And I don't need to blurr my vision with Bass. I'm thinking a nice 8 or 10 with some watts thrown at it with that hatch should sound pretty good. Speakers? looks like Polks? I'd like to keep the whole thing too about 1k if a few extra bucks make a huge difference well then ofcourse. But that's the ballpark im shooting for. Gotta tint the windows too.

There is a huge amount of information on the forum regarding audio systems. For 1k most people are going to tell you it's going to be hard to put a system together. 1k should get you a HU and some speakers. But the whole shabang for 1k might be difficult. The rear speakers on the Z (non touring) are fake, but with the size of the Z 2 good front speakers sound great.

Others on the forum can really give you more information than I can.

Congrats on the car!

I'll check around in the forums. Looks like I'll have to go with a head unit and some speakers first then.

Finding a head unit looks like a job....
