Moving on , just a bit sad

Sold my 2009 370Z touring sport today. Funny thing is I miss it. I have had a Nissan since about 2003 with my G356MT coupe adn moved on to the Z last year.
I really liked the Z, but never totally fell in love. Not sure why. I can tell you I loved the G35. By all measures the Z was much better car than the G. Long story short While out just cruising stopped by the local Motorsports shop (carries all the high dollar cars) and test drove a Lotus Evora Ended up leaving with the Keys to the Evora I wish I could keep both, but as they say "there can be only ONE" well at least for now. I would like to thank everyone for all the great advice and help on all my Z projects |

nice new ride! how do you like it?
|
Nice, I really like Lotus'
|
hey congrats on the lotus. :D
|
evora is a sweet ride. give a review.
|
So far i love the Evora. The handling is just another level. hard to describe the responsiveness.
The Z's cabin is more comfortable with better climate control. Stangely I like the Z's exhaust note better than the Evoras, but i have already ordered a Radium CAI adn looking into a different exhaust Teh Evora comes with a poor Alpine unit. I will have that out within a month and replaced with a nice Poineer unit |
Congrats! The Evora is pretty awesome

Nice ride!!!

The lotus looks very sharp, what year is and what was the purchase price, it seems the lotus is a british chassis , with a 275hp toyota v6 in it.
|
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that in the revamped lineup Lotus will be releasing in the next few years, they will no longer be using Toyota engines.
The Evora is one sweet car. Congrats! |
Very nice car indeed. The only downside to them is dealer network from what I understand, but if you have one near you, G2G. Sick looking car. I think of it as a Ferrari Lite. Sortof like the 370Z is a Porsche Lite. And my Z06 is a Viper Lite, lol

Never been there, but I've driven by that dealership many times. They often have many pretty things sitting out front. I know how you feel about the, 'didn't fall in love but miss it'. I bought a new WRX back in 2005. Only kept it for about 18 months. Wanted a WRX, loved the car, totally fun, but never really felt "attached" to it. To this day I still miss it a little. Well, no so much since I bought the Z. :rofl2: |
Man awesome car. I love Lotus! If there was any car I would trade my Z in for, it would be a Lotus. I'm a bit jealous. If you don't mind us asking, what did that cost you?
|
sweet upgrade! i love the color. can't believe there's a backseat in that thing
|
damn, were you here in the StL
|
The Evora is a great choice.

You can tell when the forum likes a car when we don't start raising discussions to make you second guess your purchase and you just get congrats across the board! |
love the color

It does have a Toyota engine. The chassis is bonded aluminium with fiberglass resin body. make the car just over 3000lbs. Lotus has a SC version but cost $12k more. The the standard Evora is pretty rare(500 units in USA) but the SC is supper rare(60 units in USA) |

Right now they have a used Ferrari Italia:eekdance: way out of my price range, but Lord it is beautiful. originally I was looking for a used Aston Martin, but after a few test drives of the Aston I prefered the feel of the Z. The Aston is beautiful bbut is abit more GT than looking for. The Lotus pushed all the right buttons. its not Ferrari fast but great for the B roads and a track day. The Lotus 0-60 and quarter mile are very similar to the Z, but on the G pad the lotus rules even most super cars. |
