Sold my 2009 370Z touring sport today. Funny thing is I miss it. I have had a Nissan since about 2003 with my G356MT coupe adn moved on to the Z last year.
I really liked the Z, but never totally fell in love. Not sure why. I can tell you I loved the G35. By all measures the Z was much better car than the G.
Long story short
While out just cruising stopped by the local Motorsports shop (carries all the high dollar cars) and test drove a Lotus Evora
Ended up leaving with the Keys to the Evora

I wish I could keep both, but as they say "there can be only ONE" well at least for now.
I would like to thank everyone for all the great advice and help on all my Z projects

Initially I thought you were returning to the G35. Lotus instead, wow, what an upgrade. Congratulations.

Congrats on the new ride! Out of all the cars you could have switch to, I'd say you shouldn't have any buyers remorse here. Enjoy the car to the fullest!

Wow, super nice!

Congrats and good luck!

White Evora

This is how I aquired my 370Z, A guy in Maryland bought a 2009 370Z Blue Sport/Coupe in april of 09, by augest he finds a white evora in Chicago at a dealer & ships the Z in for trade. They hang onto it for several months then I located it on E-bay motors and purchase it with only 350 miles on it, he loves his evora, I hope you will too. As good as they look now the next generation of Lotus is breathtaking, but more expensive.

The Evora is so beautiful. I wish there were more in the US, cuz I haven't seen one in person yet.

Open Letter to the 370Z forum

I can say without a doubt the guys and gals of this forum are first rate!!! No haters just a bunch of people who enjoy cars, whatever there make. Thanks everyone again for all the support. I'm sure I'll be back for more discussions. unfortunately the Lotus forums are a bit thin (due to the relatively low production quantities) If you see a Carbon and Black Evora around St. Louis I will always give your Z a big thumbs up and a wave.

Well, it's a Lotus. I think most 'car guys' would respect that decision. :tiphat: Haters just be jealous.

It's not like you went out and traded in your Z for a Mustang. That'd be different. :stirthepot:

I live about 90 miles north of St. Louis. I regularly visit the city. You ever need a Z for the weekend, chirowolf, just let me know. I'm sure we could arrange something. Meet ya at Fast Eddies. :bowrofl:

The Evora is a sharp looking car, but its not the Lotus I would have gone with. I dunno, its too "soft" compared to the Elise/Exige. So many other choices in the +$65k range. Exige is one of my all-time favorite though.

Congrats on the new ride.

wheee! 02-24-2012 04:36 PM

Truly beautiful car. Enjoy it to the fullest brother!

Congrats on the new ride.

I did test drive a Exige final edition. Awesome car, but hard. It is also not a very easy car to get in and out of. I went with the Evora because it did have some comforts, but no denying the Exige is a great car.

How is the amount of space around the pedals in the Evora? I have heard that the tunnel is a little tight.

The space is OK, but there is no dead pedal. All the pedals are offset alittle toward the center of the car. You get comfortable with the setup pretty quick.
The frame is bonded aluminum which makes for a pretty wide threshold and a narrower tunnel.

southercadesi 02-24-2012 06:39 PM

Do you feel the car oversteers? From my experience (GT5 :) ) the lotus' I drove had oversteer.

have yet to push the car, but have read some about the oversteer. Want to break in the car abit more before flogging it. So far everything about the handling is just great.
