Default thanks guys!!! loving this forum!!!

I found it after about to buy one with 15000 miles on eBay ... It had just been listed on eBay when I was about to purchase the other one. The guy said he was staying in Nashville on business when he bought it , than had to move to around Miami for business, so he stored it in Nashville and never had a chance to enjoy it.. he says now that I am buying it and going to drive it home he wished he had driven it more lol.... To late hehe!!! I can't wait I love my other z , but this one grew on me and I think its the best z yet... I don't think I will do anything to it but maybe a oem nav package.. I do a lot of research on z's and their history if someone needs help finding a certain model low mileage let me know ... I am a combat disabled veteran and have nothing better to do!!! Just message me... Thanks all for the feedback I was wondering what some of you have 8done within the breakin period !!!

Keep it under 4,000 rpm's and vary the speed home. I did and I still needed a new engine. Good luck and enjoy.

My advice to anyone getting a new vehicle. As soon as mine arrives, i have the 3M painters tape waiting (plus, i've used the same brand different sizes for detailing). Wal-mart has the best price on 3M painters tape, get a clearbra asap. I will be getting a clearbra as soon as i fully detail her of course, just light polishing, nothing too abrasive ( I have light and heavy abrasive polishes) which i doubt i'll need considering the whole dealership knows not to touch her when she arrives, no sealant or wax of course until after clearbra and tint, even before the last two steps another wash will be needed. To the OP, thanks for your service

I think I saw that Ebay listing and read about the storage etc. If it is the one I read it was listed 35000 or best offer. Good luck. Thanks for your service and sacrifices.

I bought my car in Chicago and drove it 584 miles back to KC/KS. Just varied speed and made some stops along the way. Break in miles has some merit but I think some hype it a little. I guess currently at 1100 miles it is only slightly broken in.

If I could make a suggestion, you might want to have your oil changed locally before the trip... if it is on the original oil after 2 years it has to be mud. Might not want to risk a long journey home that way. Even the gas could be a problem if it has been sitting... might want to fill up to get some new gas mixed in.

Have fun and enjoy the new car! Congrats!
This. Stay off the freeway for half the time.

It's already 700 miles. I don't know how fanatical about your car you need to be to justify adding on to that number.

Why not just follow what Nissan says (they know a thing or two about the Z, I think )? Straight from the Owner's Manual:

Quote:
During the first 1,200 miles (2,000 km),
follow these recommendations to obtain
maximum engine performance and
ensure the future reliability and economy
of your new vehicle.

Failure to follow these recommendations
may result in shortened engine
life and reduced engine performance.

. Avoid driving for long periods at constant
speed, either fast or slow. Do not run the
engine over 4,000 rpm.
. Do not accelerate at full throttle in any gear.
. Avoid quick starts.
. Avoid hard braking as much as possible.
Of course, I bet every Z that's ever been test-driven at a dealer has had the above recommendations violated...

Isn't it in their best interest to give us information that would make our cars last less time so we buy another one?

They have the technology to create and sell lightbulbs that last literally forever. But they don't...hmmmm
