Slipping the clutch in reverse to brake = :shakes head: :gtfo2:

kenchan 02-22-2012 10:30 AM

i dont think most cars will allow one to go into reverse while moving forward unless you want MAJOR grinding....

because justin beiber, that's why :rofl2:

i power shift for when it's time to lay down the business

i don't know to what degree the gears are locked out while still reversing but there are times i put it back into first while still moving backward out of my driveway, i just got to give it more gas to compensate.
the few times i messed around doing a J-turn, the gears didn't lock out on me from what i recall, even when i screwed up

I got confused at the end because I drive a 370Z, but the question had me driving a Corvette. So I gave up.

:rolleyes::icon17:

I think the question was saying more that you are backing out of a space. Instead of coming to a complete stop while backing up slowly, you put it in 1st and slowly change direction from going backwards to driving forwards.
