in the past ive heard it can go dry in neutral if coasting too long.... not sure about modern MT's...

I try to avoid coasting in neutral now unless I'm coming to a stop at a light cause I noticed whoever said this was correct, how the car uses more gas in neutral then in gear while coasting. I checked this out for myself when I used the real-time gas gauge and noticed anytime I was off the gas in gear, the mpg was always 60. When in neutral, it's jumping all over the place.
