Default Rubber square-what is it?

So I found two of these in my car - have no idea what they are or where they go. There is adhesive on the back, so it doesn't seem like they were just temporary pads or anything...

Where did you find them? Did you buy your car used?

Bought it new. One on the little back package shelf and one in the passenger side floorboard.

pull your car out in the sun and take a very close look. if you can't figure out where it came from just keep it in your parts bin. you might find where i goes in the future when you do stereo mods or something.

Hmmm, my guess is they were used to cover something during transportation. I doubt they're important.

Looks like a cushion pad of some kind. I know where the spare tire sits there are pads so the wheel spokes don't come in contact with the body. ???

Yeah, That's what it's like - a cushion. And it's pretty dense foam so I assume it's meant to cushion something heavy. I'll have to check the spare.

What's the possibility that these are the pads that go at the bottom corners of the license plate? Mine didn't have any on it when I got it (but should have being a 2-hole design) so I picked up some rubber bumpers @ ACE.

Interesting. When I took out my spare, I found a rubbed away paint blemish (hole in the paint) caused by spare wheel touching. Cushions like these would most likely work.

I had those pads under the spare tire. It stops the spare from vibrating against the body.
