Question about iPod/AUX input
I see the AUX input on the front of the stereo in both the base and Bose unit. Does either have an alternate AUX-in, allowing an easy, discrete line to be run up to the compartment (non Navigation) in the center stack? Is there an AUX input on the back of the head unit? I'd like a clean, invisible iPod plug-in without the navigation option and without much custom wiring.

Bump for an answer. I hate my ipod cable running all over the place, especially by the shifter.
|
I know at least with the BOSE units, there is mp3 connectivity (iPod dock for US, composite for Aus) in the centre storage compartment. Not sure about base models since us Aussies don't get the choice:P

Yeah I have the Touring with the Bose package however, there isn't a ipod specific connector just the aux port.
Thanks for the input. |

I went to Target and purchased the smallest cord they had and ran it along the seam in the dash to the compartment.

In the G there's a RCA jack and an iPod connecter in the center arm rest.
Any such thing in the Z?? |
Yes, it is in the armrest. You have to remove the plastic cupholder insert to access it.
