Need help please
As some of you may remember I was in an accident 3 weeks ago and I just got my car back. The shop did a very good job on the car, BUT decided to "detail" it before giving it back to me. They used something on the interior and my engine bay that is very, very greasy and smells absolutely awful. I already got the grease off but cannot get rid of the smell and it's really bothering me. Anyone have any idea on how to get rid of the smell?

maybe these might work. the first one neutralizes petrolium base smells so it might work.. also if you have a garage id leave the door open and blow a fan in there. make sure your dome/map light is off.

Maybe go over it with your favorite interior detailer (i.e. Armor all) to make sure you got it all, then let it air out really good. Then you can use some car freshner.
Also find out what they used and let us know, so others can avoid it. :tiphat: |
for plastics i recommend Aerospace303 available off the shelf minimum. i personally use PrimaNero 50/50 with water. available from phil at detailersdomain (vendor here). :)
im not a big fan of air freshners to cover smells as it usually makes it worse. :ugh2: |
