I guess they must think that the 370z is a pretty good car already and don't want to improve it much.

Also, with those mechanical problems they should address it within this generation not the next one. Im sure no manufacturer would like to remember the 370z generation was the one with the most problems.

Once again, look at the GT-R why all the emphasize? Perhaps the GT-R is the Iconic car and not the Z.
+1

The last 350z refresh was a significant upgrade performance wise. I'm very disappointed that they didn't do anything of merit for this refresh.

I love the car. But if the next upgrade isn't all about
the engine and more HP. I may change

I believe Nissan should make the 2013 370z as competitive as possible to what the current market is offering with the available resource (time & dedicated team) to drive people to desire this car at the asking price.

Whether if its styling, performance, what so ever. They should improve as much as they can with the limitations as what they can change with the car. Most of the time, car manufacturers just slap a front bumper, make a little change to the head/tail lights, change the spoiler a little, cup holders, arm rest and call it a done deal.

Unless Nissan believe that this car still is a pretty competitive car already, which I don't...esp for the money we paid. There are other competitors who are constantly revising their cars. Within this class alone, Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis Coupe, etc - they're doing more than just a minor face lift. I'm not saying that I am fond of those cars but I believe the 370z may not hold its place like from back in the day 2009 Motor Trend, Road & Track comparisons. If HP & Engine power is what the car lacks, so be it the next upgrade - the 370z could use some more torque. But I believe there's more problem we're all experiencing they should address! They obviously have addressed the brake fade issue by coming out with Nismo option brake pads in 2010. Similarly they should address Fuel Starvation, Oil overheat, perhaps revise Rev-Matching mode or some other bells and whistles like the GT-R re-doing the Launch control.

There's a lot of opinion in this statement. This thread is called

2013 370z facts, No BS... opinions aren't facts... you just got a demerit.

Just messing. I just think this is the worst thread title in history and it urks the crud outta me it has top spot in the forum sticky section... This is something you would find in the civic forum. Lol

But ur post is fine. I'm just eggin' the mod who thought " hey, great thread." Lol.

Seriously though... it doesn't feel like nissan hasn't done a lot because the cockpit looks the same as does the exterior. But I posted up all the changes that have gone on, on a yearly basis and its a lot of small things that you haven't noticed. Things like reduced engine harshness, improved spring and damper design for better ride quality and handling, more sound dampening are a few of the subtle yet valuable upgrades we have gotten.
I think brake cooling should be extended to the sport pkg, not just the nismo... further improve oil cooling. Improve the stock radios, not just touring. They are adding more expensive shock absorbers.
The thing about nissan. The Z gets faster and lateral G's have mildly increased. The stock automatic Z has seen 60 times as high as 4.5 seconds. The nismo has seen 4.4. Which is very interesting. Nissan doesn't always tell you every minor detail on paper. But mechanics at the dealership get the new spec sheets annually and they can tell you a quite a few internals that have been improved annually. The 13 Z front end is a downgrade imho but... I'm sure there will be more than expected.
It seems that the only cars that not have seen faster times over the years has been the base and touring manuals whether sport or non sport. I'm guessing possibly? Nissan has done more to tweak the nismo and automatic transmissions and kind of left those other models lagging for the refreshed model. I'm sure you will feel descent performance upgrade in driveability and response. Just not on paper.

Hey guys, maybe they (Nissan) heard us... I didn't find any post on the forum about Nissan's "Project 370".. Where "we" get to suggest updates for a future 370Z model on Nissan Performance Facebook page...

They were to unveil the phase1 of the car this weekend May 18th-20th @ ZDay..

Did anyone from the forum go that event can comment about it ?

We certainly like the idea behind the Infiniti Performance Line, but execution has left us largely underwhelmed. Instead of an M or AMG fighter, buyers are left with little more than fancy paint and a stiffer suspension. But according to Motor Trend, Infiniti may have something more impressive brewing.

An unnamed source spilled the goods on the future of the G line, including a juicy detail about a hyper performance coupe. The next-generation G is set to hit the market during the summer of 2014, bringing with it a rash of changes.

One of those is the introduction of an IPL-specific 3.7-liter V6. The source claims the engine is all-new and features direct-injection and two turbos to help it produce a whopping 530 horsepower. This time, it seems Infiniti has its heart set on stepping up to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and BMW M3. The engine will be built in Japan alongside the powerplant for the Nissan GT-R.

Now for the bad news. The shadowy source says the high-performance IPL will be priced in line with the GT-R, at least in Japan. On this side of the globe, the brawny Nissan commands a price well north of the $58,930 MSRP on the C63 AMG, which leads us to believe there's still some pricing to be sorted out on that front.

it doesn't look like Nissan will be doing much more on the Z's engine. The big question is when will the next z come out, 2015 or 16 maybe?

Very nice photos! Do you have more shots? If so please post them. It looks like the blue roadster has Persimmon interior?
