I'm planning to move over from my 2009 Nissan GT-R to NISMO 370z and I think that z 2011 is the best containing all the specs and features in spite of going for 2013 z with no certain upgrades.

any reason for the switch? Selling your GTR by chance? how much?

I think Z has more driving spirit and executive look as compared to the latest technology sporty GT-R which is a long term car and I've driven it many times. Although Z contains an ugly look but doing its best in terms of performance in lower budget as compared to GT-R and become more trendy in US streets while the GT-R has come up with a true Japanese style design.

I think the new Z will look cool. Can't really say unless seen in person.

i see that they changed the front grill to slotted opening holes rather than blanks where the brake cooling duct inlets should be, does that mean they'll actually do it right this time?

I like the 2009-2012 look more. Both the wheels and the front bumper, but hey, they gotta do something to it to entice people to buy the Zs right?

I think they actually lost prospective customers by doing this.

i'm sure it's all about meeting business demands, but why are they not addressing the major issues by fixing them? Like Fuel Starvation, Oil Overheating, Brake Fading (by using the port in the bumper meant for brake ducts), etc...

The only thing they really responded well on is giving people options to have the Red Brake Calipers...yay! Come on' at least an increase of power or something. I believe even the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe will have an Increase in power, possibly more than the 370z. All I'm saying is keep the 370z competitive like the GT-R. Otherwise, the Z is just gonna end up on the bottom of the list next to the Mazda RX-8.

but you have to keep in mind that its a refresh not a new generation model.

Right. I know I'm just unloading my anger all at once but the last time they did a refresh they bumped up the HP for the 350z quite a bit and change it to dual intake system. That's not minor improvements.

I guess they must think that the 370z is a pretty good car already and don't want to improve it much.

Also, with those mechanical problems they should address it within this generation not the next one. Im sure no manufacturer would like to remember the 370z generation was the one with the most problems.

Once again, look at the GT-R why all the emphasize? Perhaps the GT-R is the Iconic car and not the Z.

Pretty much, its Nissan flagship sports car. and as for the 370z you pretty much answered your own question, theres nothing much to improve on (styling) wise.

+1

The last 350z refresh was a significant upgrade performance wise. I'm very disappointed that they didn't do anything of merit for this refresh.

I love the car. But if the next upgrade isn't all about
the engine and more HP. I may change
