Actually you can just stick left or right in neutral with SRM on and it will wind up your idler gear by blipping for you. Of course, SRM won't blip unless you have some speed going first, it doesn't blip under 20 mph or so.

Are there any adverse affects to double clutching on a daily basis?

Does anyone else have this problem?

i dont have a problem doing heel and toe or double clutching. by the way i learned how to drive stick on this car and i was heel and toeing after a month. for me the pedals are placed just right but maybe its just me lol

I prefer not to wear the synchros, but that's just me. When you get used to double-clutching, it's really not a big deal. I do remember thinking it was a crazy system when I first learned, but it's second nature now, and you feel very connected to the car when you've got it dead on...

On topic - I like the Z pedal placement quite a bit. It's got room to wear shoes, but the pedals aren't so far apart that heel toe is a reach. That said, my method of heel on brake and toe on gas is not like most people, so I understand if others disagree. Pedal placement was one of the first things I checked on every car I looked at. BMWs never worked well for me for some reason...
