my $.02...

i feel they softened the styling of the 2013 in a effort to sell more volume of 370s, i said it from the beginning the reason the 370 was not selling in huge numbers, and the 350 did is because the 370 styling is really aggressive, and not as appealing to none enthusiast buyers. Normal people see aggressive styling as gaudy and over the top. I think this revision will help nissan get more 370s out the door, which i cant knock them for, every car company wants to have cars that sell, they are a buisness. But i do prefer the 09-12 styling more, as most of you guys do to, BECAUSE we are enthusiasts and it appeals to our pallet

Default how the f*** could they mess up this bad?

how the f*** could they mess up this bad?

i mean, seriously, commoooon...this is just ridiculous.

i just recently graduated and am working in my first ever job. I have been looking to buy my first car for a couple of years now, but my financial situations allows me that only today.

I loved the 370z from the beginning. just astonishing styling, with edgy front bumper and funky yet assertive wheels.

with the 40th anniversary edition, i thought the look got even better and the more aggressive direction was the way to go. so i obviously thought i would go for this model, but decided to wait and see what this refresh was about.

omg, what a disappointment. the front looks ultra boring now and gives the car an overall tacky look. the wheels, even though very similar, just look off now...too out there, too artistic...im not even able to understand how they managed to ruin them so drastically with just such little change. as my wife put it, they look like corals now and I'm just praying i won't start seeing the previous wheels in the same fashion.

talk about counterproductive modifications. i mean I'm literally in awe at how little they were able to come up with and still make the car look like such a dull car!

my second choice for a sports car was the lotus evora 2013, but that seems to be the only lotus prototype which was presented in 2010 that won't come into production although the majority of critics acclaimed it as the bestlooking of the future lotus cars. talk about automotive industry's bad management decisions...no wonder they're fairing so bad!

graaaah I'm just so irritated and pissed about this...i just hope that this tendency won't reflect on future cars because i already find it hard to find a car that i think looks nice but if the idea is to ruin even those few i don't know what my options will be.

Not a fan of the new wheels... I'm curious about the new exterior color midnight blue. I'm thinking that it is going to look really good. I wonder if Nissan is going to continue with the Nismo model for 2013, and if so are they going to get a new face lift as well???

I too have to see it in person. I wasn't impressed with magazine photos of the 370 at all. Then I saw a couple at Zdayz and bought one the day we got home.

Yes, they are continuing the Nismo, but no facelift, but other new additions:

Quote:
The Nismo model doesn’t benefit from the visual tweaks, but gets a new Bose Premium Audio Package with two additional speakers and two subwoofers, premium gun metallic dark-finish 19-inch wheels, and Nissan GT-R style high-rigidity brake hoses and performance brake fluid.

I may trade in my 09 Nismo for the "new" 2013 Nismo now so I can get the new color wheels, better speakers and better brake lines lol!!

We should ask potential Z buyers, if you would wait for 2013 or buy 2012 now.

The rims look a bit odd, but I really like the front fog lights. I don't think this is enough for a trade in though.

Well put, I agree 100%. I'm not digging the new 350 style, it would have been nice to see brake vents or styling closer to the nismo front end but I guess that would have been to aggressive. I do like that they are offering the bose stereo and are upgradeing the brake lines and fluid for the 2013 nismo model, kind of makes you think that nissan is acknowledging that there was a brake issue with the 09-12 models. The red calipers on the sport models is a nice touch too.

Now the 350z guys can't complain about the front end cuz its so similar to their 350z.

What I'd really like to see is them stop tweaking the body - lets put a turbo in there already!

i would rather the Z stay NA, the engine bay is already cramped, adding turbo related parts will just make it even tighter, and a turbo 370 will drive up the cost
