STILLEN : Contact Us

Although, as long as everything is throughly dry you should be alright. I don't think the Stillen is an oiled filter so water won't destroy it.
I think you are correct.

Clean and reoil then, as long as they aren't damaged

Since I have CAI and there was heavy rain yesterday, looks like filter got wet.
I complained about this to maneger but he told me it will be fine, once the filters get dried.

Am i too worrying? Should i recharge the filters with oil?
You don't think the air-filter normally sees water if driven in the rain?

You're over-reacting, don't go out and buy new filters. I took off my filter, washed it in water, let it dry for an hour (read: still soaking wet), shook it out / put it on the car / drove off with zero issues.

If he's in Korea they get monsoon rain that soak everything. So I'm sure the filter is alright.

Although I can understand why the OP is worried. That Z probably cost him close to $70K+ and parts are a PITA to get.

On that note, yeah, I understand it's the PRINCIPAL of the matter, but the car is fine, as are the filters. If you can ramp hundreds of CFM per minute through a filter with 90% humidity...what's rain going to matter?

I thought the gen 3s used K & N filters. If that's the case, I would recommend the OP get the filter recharge kit. In any case, make sure you only let dry naturally. Do not shake off or use any type of compresses air as it could damage the filter element. Just remove the filters, let air dry and cover the intake tubes so no debris gets in.

Why is it so critical that OP dry these filters? They will air-dry on the freeway and later when OP parks the now hot car.

It's the dealership, all you can expect for them is to not take a dump on your seat.

The filters will be fine. i Wash mine with a water then dry and apply oil. it should be ok . It gets worse just driving in the rain. Although i understand why you are upset they should take care of you better. over all the filters should do fine .

You'll be fine. I rode one of my dads motorcycles through rain once, and the air filter was soaked by the time I got home. Not a big deal. You won't even be able to suck any substantial water through the filter unless the filter is submerged.
