Hi Everyone,
I do not actually own a Nissan, but I am a long time car enthusiast. I'm working on a project regarding Nissan, and was wondering if you all could give me some of your opinions about the brand. I know this is specifically a 370Z forum, but I'm sure you all are knowledgable about Nissan as a whole. Because I've never spent time on these forums, I don't have nearly enough knowledge about the brand as you all do, so you're the experts in my eyes. Anyways, what's a main benefit that Nissan offers (the brand overall - and possibly just one car compared to others) over its competitors? And is there any benefit Nissan has that its competition doesn't? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! |

Looking to find one main benefit Nissan has that other cars don't. Safety, reliability, maintenance, perks, etc. I saw a commercial that showed how the Versa has more legroom than any other compact on the market. Stuff like that.
And are there any benefits that Nissan could offer to reach out to more consumers? |

I have owned several Nissan vehicles over the years. Nissan consistently offers a better product as far as performance and perks for the price compared to other manufacturers in comparable price range.

BUT, I must say that the overall build quality of Nissan exceeds almost all otther brands in the price range. Also, something I feel nissan provides in all its vehicles, and is not appreciated in some models is a performance oriented drive and feel in almost all models. Most cars are well balanced and have sport suspensions. Some critics say the sport feel isn't necessary in some models. But I can appreciate nissan trying to provide more fun in their car regardless of success or failure. When it comes to the Z I feel it is a happy median sports car that provides a good amount of all sports fair. 1. 2 seater dedicated sports car. 2. True sport handling and drive feel. 3. Muscle car like power from a v6 4. Lightweight sport roadster like agility in a heavier solid feeling performance pkg. 5. World class leading technology such as SRM,DRM, VVEL, and all the necessary features to make it an exceptional sports car. LSD, BBK, wide ultralight wheels and high end tires, not to mention enough power to intimidate most sports car crowds whether stock or modified. All from a v6. Datsun-Nissan also provides a class leading racing heritage to back its sporting reputation. But just like all car companies today their are flaws in customer service and complaints with the brand. I feel when it comes to nissan base models. They come poorly featured compared to cars like hyundai and toyota. But I feel neither brand can offer the performance pkg that nissan can. So its a trade off. Also some of us desire more. Some want more turbo engines or some want a v8 sports car. Every car company offers something different so its hard to say that one brand is better than the other. I generally am a jdm import guy with a great love and respect for muscle. Critics choose honda toyota and hyundai over nissan. But I think most car guys feel Nissan, subaru, mazda, mitsubishi are more in tune with what enthusiasts want to feel when behind the wheel. |

The 370Z is the reason I own a Nissan...
I have also owned an Infiniti, which is a Nissan. My only basis for comparison (as far as ownership) is Chevy, Ford, Honda, and Audi. Nissan's fit and finish is far superior to that of any Chevy or Ford I have ever owned, driven, or experienced (I have had quite a few). The domestic vehicles (IMO) are more gimmicky in their styling and the interiors are lackluster (lame design, rattling, uneven spaces between panels, etc.). The Honda I own has been very dependable but the styling, inside and out, is nothing to write home about. Audi's fit and finish is superior to Nissan's (including Infiniti). Both the Audi and Nissan have outstanding performance, but the Nissan wins in the value department... Audi's are great, but overpriced.

I've owned several nissian's an exterra, rouge still have it, and of course the 370. imo nissan is a top 5 or 6 car companies in the US.
but the 370 is the best bang for your buck of any car on the road in it's class a 2 seater sports car. oh i don't work for nissan. |
