I rent an apartment, fool!
![]() But really... I want to know the logic behind the house and credibility connection. What if he owned a house but was $200k underwater? ![]()

![]() in my book one would first buy a house with a garage. then buy the car(s), then buy parts to mod them and keep them going. without a house and mortgage (or paid cash) it appears to me one skipped the critical step. ofcourse house isn't everything but i would respect someone with a house and civic vs apartment/renting a house and say a GTR or watever. but again, that's just me. ![]() |

You guys have a totally backwards respect measurement. I hope you guys are under 25??? Then there would be an excuse. What I respect from a person is the small things they do as far as being respectful, considerate and honorable people. I don't care if you own a mansion or a cardboard box??? If your heart is good and you are a good individual in the way you treat me and the people around you? I respect you. I don't care what a person drove or in what order they bought a bullsh1t material possesion. To me this whole theory here is bullsh1t... I'm actually a lil surprised by the names involved in this train of thought..... but to each his own. |

I let the dealer change the oil and filter on my motorcycle, and it costs me about 75 bucks, and I used to bitch about the cost, but no more, not after analyzing the costs. It only takes 3 qts. and a filter, and I use dino oil. Even dino oil costs about $8/qt nowadays and the filter is about $14, o-ring a dollar, so $39.00 in parts/supplies. So where's the rest going? Dealer gets about $85/hour labor. Tech takes about 10 minutes to drain and change oil and filter, followed by test ride, followed by leak check, followed by a little touch-up cleaning. $36 labor is reasonable for that service in my opinion. I used to do all the maintenance myself (except for tire changes) but at my age and with my old creaky bones and sore everything, I'd rather let them do it.
