The road surface is a huge factor, you can hear it when you transition from a smooth piece to a coarse piece of pavement. I can only imagine that grooved concrete is even worse.

Tire roar is definitely loud compared to my 350Z, it drowns out the music most of the time. I heard part of the issue is with the Potenza tires that came with it. Overall, not a deal breaker.

It's much better than my old MR2 with DOT R-Compounds .
It seems really easy to me - if you want to add weight or drop performance to reduce noise, you can add dynamat and/or change tires. I'm glad Nissan didn't make that choice for me. Want quiet? They make just the car for that. It's called the G37. |
