(Noob question) SRM stands for?

I figured out SRM is only available on M6 370z's.
I wonder what else are different between Downshift Rev match(A7) and SRM(M6).
Sorry for bugging you guys... :tiphat:

SRM is short for Syncro Rev Match.

In principle SRM and DRM from the auto trans work the same. The big difference is that it is much easier to do in an auto transmission because the computer is in control of the transmission, it knows what gear it is heading to and what the target RPM is. With a manual transmission it doesn't know what gear it is going to until you select it. The SRM system is a first, DRM on the other hand is pretty standard in modern transmissions.
