Default CAI intakes could void factory waranty

Just a heads up I spoke to a nissan dealer service manager tonight and I asked them if installing an aftermarket CAI could void the waranty.

The answer was no, but if any engine problems develope and they can attribute them to the CAI installed, then it would void the factory waranty.

So overall I wouldn't bother installing one, to many if's .

installing one will only void the warranty for the intake and anything that fails because of it.

Yeh ! Anything that the dealer or company can blame on the intake, is it worth the risk ? What a lot of ppl don't know is that it is not in best interest of a manufacturer to always approve waranty repairs. Its just like auto insurance, claims adjusters # 1 priority is to deny a insurance claim, and instead of paying out on it.

I'm not going to argue about it, just conveying what Nissan Service manager told me, Its your decision for the owner to make and they should know all the facts.

Meh, CAI is a waist of time. I'm going to void my warranty big time with F.I.

no issues, engine problem, remove CAI, problem solved............ its not like the dealer is going around taking pictures of your car, and you can always take it to another dealer.
