If you can afford the extra cost of added insurance, gas, maintenance.. etc.. I wouldn't be so quick to dump the Focus.. The more u use ur Z the more maintenance yr going to need.. (r u ready for new tires yet they go quick if you use as a DD..
I use a Ford Explorer for my chores (Shopping & dragging family around) Camery as a DD & my Z when I need to be alone on the open road... & maintenance on all 3 is fairly low because I don't beat any one car too much.. |

Thank you. I have no idea how many miles as it only has a 5 digit odometer and I know its history only from the last 10 years or so. I have personally put about 100,000 on her and my guess is she has more than 300,000.

The 280zx in the background of the shot was one of mine and is now Taylor's. It has 340,000 miles. The original engine went to more than 320,000.

It's awesome how long these cars can last if they're properly maintained and cared for. Have you owned any other Z's other than the 240, 280, and 370?

Yes. 280zx's, 300zx, other 240z's, Roadster ('67 1600), etc.

My Z has become a fair-weather driver for me, wasn't the case as much when I first bought it (at the end of December!). It has to be dry for at least a day and above freezing this time of the year for the Z to leave the garage. A 2004 Titan gets the vast majority of the driving duties from about November to March, even though the gas mileage pretty much sucks. At the time I bought the Z, I also had a 77 Triumph TR7 that was a bit of a garage queen until I got rid of it, my fondness for British Leyland was quite thoroughly tested by that TR7 coupe as well as the TR7 drophead before it, I'm thinking an older TR6 might have been a better option...

I got 270,000+ miles out of my 280Z. I doubt it had another 270K unless somebody went through it thoroughly. I even wore out the door locks.
