Syncro Rev died
 

Well, yesterday was Chinese New Years and I put my red envelope money in my car for luck. Just to happens 40 minutes later, I get a S-Mode warning light. The thing will not turn back on no matter what. I tried restarting it, even had it taken to my boy's shop to take a look at the ECU but for some reason his diagnostic device can't read the ECU so I'm going to take it to the dealer. This is da g4y.

So far:
cruise control still not working
last LED on gas gauge not lighting up anymore
need brake rotor resurfacing/replacement
syncro rev died

this is not something that's supposed to happen on a new car

Place golden fish under car?

Two are most likely related but warranty work. The gas led light is real common. The rotors are on you. But yea that sucks.

BCM might be screwed up. I'm not positive, but I think the cruise and SRM may be controlled by that unit.

have you tested the battery? if it's about to go dead it can cause havoc with the electronics. does the gear indicator in below the tach still show what gear you are in as normal?

I am sorry to say, that lately, Z's seem to be failing at an increased rate, with out of the blue problems. ex. Steering locks and SRM.

Aren't you particularly hard on your car? I seem to remember a thread with roasted tires...

ive remembered him saying a few times he wants to drift , lol...

i warped my base model rotors in about 6k miles, lmao... cut them and got hawk pads and they improved but shortly after purchased an akebono kit, and drove the car pretty hard... about 10k miles later i was getting some signs of warped rotors... its how you drive!

but for ur SRM issue, just bring it in for service a day before a snow storm and take a loaner... and your golden

it's been roughly a week of no s-mode. tonight after a race in mexico, i was coming to a stop light and threw it in neutral. i heard it rev by itself, so i thought maybe i accidently hit the gas somehow. then i saw the S on the gauge. well what do you know. it works again. f'in nissan man lawl

I was normal driving down the highway just now, hit the off ramp right hander at about 50mph, heard a chime, looked down and syncro rev warning light was on. Pulled over, turned the car off then back on and it went a way. Strange!
