Those of you who have had Steering Lock Failure

You guys who are being charged $800-$850 for the lock module plus $300-$400 labor are getting screwed about like the 53% of us that pay taxes are about to get screwed by Obama and the Democrats.
It's a $500 part and about a half hour in labor. The warranty on my car expired in September even though I only had about 26K miles on it. I installed the $50 harness in just a few minutes time before the lock had a chance to fail.
If I had been stranded somewhere and had to pay towing fees plus outrageous repair charges I would have invented some new 12 letter words.

You know I made that "pulling the fuse" thread to help people to avoid spending allot of money on this and I guess it is falling on deaf ears cause a ton of people are not doing it,I guess they think it won't happen to them.

Has anyone with the Rev E steering lock installation had a failure? It seems most the failures have occurred on 2009 and 2010 models, any failures on 2011 models?

They don't make a "E" lock the newest and most recent is the "D" lock,and I don't think that there has been a failure of it.

If we are on revision "E" just put it in and pull the fuse don't be like the others.
