It's true -- if we have more than a few inches, I just call in to work. Not all have that liberty

I've got it pretty easy now. I live 1 mile from work. Worst case scenario... I walk.

Best case is... I just call in too

If you're thinking about tires and you have snow, stock summer tires won't work.
Wheels And Tires

If I had a set of stockers, I might have just kept them for winters, but since I sold mine, I had to get a set of cheap-o's.

Thats what I'm doing, square/narrow, no spacers. Keeps the wheels inside the fenders so they don't sling snow up the body.

Speaking of my winters, Tirerack sent me a wheel that isn't true. Bolted on smoothly enough, and the balancing weights looked tight, but passed. Went to take it for a test ride real quick, heard a bad grinding sound. Once the car was in turns and momentum shifted the weight, it was rubbing against the caliper. I have informed TR, still waiting for a response.

Do you guys understand that its not that you can't do it, there are just much better suited vehicles for doing it. Period. Some video of a guy driving in snow doesn't change that fact. Holding a camera doing a video while driving isn't the smartest thing either.

There are many faster cars than the 370z, let's all trade it in and buy it

I wasn't holding the camera if you were referring to my video. My phone was mounted to the windscreen taking video. The quality was terrible, I know.

People are not disputing the fact that there are better cars to drive in the snow such as a WRX Impreza. The point is that you can drive your car if you choose to in the snow. However, there are factors that should be taken into account if you choose to do so. This thread addresses many of them.

If driving in winter, snow, or rain makes you uncomfortable then don't do it. Ultimately there are options and this thread specifically outlines one of them.

--Edit--
I don't want to drive anything other than my Z.

You wouldnt like living here in Germany where people buy all kinds of RWD BMW, Mercedes etc and actually drive them year round. Even when the suns out

Its a car. It gets driven. Just like my neighbor and his 2012 GT3RS-4.0

Nice vid from the snow . . . hard to beat AWD in slippery conditions, though.

Yeah, I've emailed the guy 3 times and the emails aren't getting through to him...

So I dunno what's going on.

But yeah, that's why I picked them.

From what I understand, once the wheels are mounted, you are sugar out of lemons (S.O.L.)
