Keep the bike and the Z, get a $2000 beater car like 2000ish model: impala, v6 mustang, dodge neon, old civic/accord, cavalier, etc, they are around $2-3k.
Trust me, you will want to keep both. I have Z and CBR1000RR and a daily driver

you will get probably 22k for it. Maybe a tad less since its winter time and it's going to sit on their lot until march.

In my experience the dealer will be reluctant to pay more than a $1000.00 BELOW book value.
If you do sell to a dealer pull the all the mods (a nice, low key, audio system might be OK to leave in place) that can be seen or heard and resell them. Mods are a red flag for most dealers. Mods suggest abusive driving to many potential buyers. Don't forget the cost of changing ownership (taxes, license and assorted fees) can really cut into the cash that you can recover from the Z and then dump into a new vehicle. The best place to sell would be private party to someone who might appreciate your mods and be willing to pay for them. The economics suggest that you keep the Z and buy a truck when you can afford it, sometimes we just have to wait to achieve our goals. The advice about deciding what is your first love, cars or bikes, is spot on. Only you can decide. I've pulled 1200 pound trailers (for work, five days a week) with a 99 Camaro SS M6 and a 2004 GTO M6. Why? Because life is too short to drive boring trucks when cool cars are everywhere.

Personally, I'd go for the no debt, no payments choice.

They confirmed they are totaling out the truck today. Still have to wait until next week for them to assess the value though. I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions. Its supposed to be nice this weekend so I'll spend some time in the Z. I've only driven her briefly in the last couple of months. I suspect when I wind her up a bit I'll fall in love all over again. Been looking at some cheap truck, suv and awd car options.
