Smile Nismo Z with 7K miles for under $28M - Deal or No Deal?

Was browsing Ebay Motors the other day and I noticed a 2007 Nismo 350Z with under 7K miles for under $28M.

Apparently this Nismo was #082.

I doubt I'd pull the trigger on this car, but it got me to thinking that at what price does this Nismo become a compelling offer?

Granted, this is a 350Z, so the buyer would have to be able to live with the fact that he/she is stuck with last year's styling. On the other hand, this Nismo looks pretty sweet, especially if you find one in black.

The other down side is even though this is a Nismo, the 350Z Nismo's did not add any additional power, just some styling modification, exhaust and other handling changes.

What price (if any) would make you consider taking a second look?

Also, any idea when Nissan is going to announce the formal pricing on the Nismo 370Z?

Martin

I've always been a fan of the Nismo 350z, I'd say do it.

Plus that was "claimed to be" the best handling 350z made from factory so at least you get the most updated 350z look, with low miles! Still a quick car too!

I don't know $28m is an awful lot of money!

Kidding aside, it looks too ricer/boy racer for me, but I'm in my 30s. Now that the 370 is out I wouldn't pay that much for an "outdated" model, especially with the next NISMO out soon.

Bad deal. The dealer that sold me my 370 was offering NEW 08 Nismo 350's for 28 or 29k. That was a couple months ago, but I'm pretty sure those "old" Nismo's haven't appreciated.

I assume 28M is a typo...

I'm almost in my forties, so I kinda see where you're coming from. The back end of the Nismo 350Z is where its a bit too "ricey", but I don't mind the wing, for some reason.

Yeah, I meant to say $28k. Made the same mistake on the bimmer board (different topic).

So dealers in your area are selling 2008 Nismo's for $28k? Come on, that's gotta be a great deal!

A Honda Civic with the HFP Package is around $24k or $25k, so for a few dollars more, you get a car with 300 ponies and ton of style. A fully pimped out VW GTI runs for around $27k.

Here in the StL i saw in the post not too long ago a dealer had 2 (red & white) and the price on each of those was $25ish, and they were brand new 08's. Just my 2 cents, the 09 body is sooooo damn cool.

Same here, my dealer had 2 '08's for OVER $10,000 below sticker. I think you can find a new '08 for a killer price if you shop around some.

They've been going for cheap. If there are any leftover '08s, they can be had for $30K or less, so not sure this is such a great deal.

Agree with above. Now that the 370Z is out you should be able to get these things brand new for this price. It does have a little rice going on but for some reason I like it.

It is a great deal (!)... if you don't mind driving a car that isn't the latest or greatest. Some people prefer the boy racer look of the 350Z. More power to them. I bet you could get a Nismo for even less than 28 now.

I am 34 and I don't think the NISMO 350Z is anything close to rice. It's all functional and works like it was made too work.

I don't know but it's a horrible body kit. Especially from the back.
